30 Day Self Harm Challenge

1. How long have you been self harming? Discuss why you started.

I was 11 when I first intentionally hurt myself. I was in the 6th grade, all the kids were doing ‘eraser burns’ to be cool or whatever. So I tried it. I loved the way it felt, and mostly I loved the scars. I kept doing it. Then, this girl I was friends with told the school counselor, who told my mom. I stopped burning myself.

Then, in the 7th grade, I started cutting. I’ve tried stopping over the years, but I always come back to it. I’m almost 18 now, and my arms are still covered in scars. I think it’s the only beautiful thing about me.

Sorry about all the spam…

I haven’t been using this blog as much lately, but rather my personal, much happier one. I changed my password, so hopefully there won’t be any more of that crap, sorry =/

But if you want to follow my personal, it’s lifeasagaydolphin.tumblr.com

I’ve been in a much better place lately. I found someone amazing, I want to get clean for him =]

Emergency Hotline of the Day: To promote Twilio’s voice-and-SMS-app-facilitating services, the company’s corporate communications manager Michael Selvidge set up an phone number that connects callers to “Callin’ Oates”: A emergency hotline for folks in desperate need of a Hall and Oates fix.

Call (719)26-OATES, and you will be prompted to select one of four tracks by the dynamic Philly duo.

I foresee a sizable raise in Mr. Selvidge’s future.
